This festive season, we were delighted to launch our Prosperity Children’s Services Christmas Card Competition, which brought together children and staff from across all our homes to take part in something truly special.
Creativity, colour and Christmas cheer filled our services as our wonderful children worked hard to design their very own Christmas card artwork. Through the competition, everyone had the chance to get involved, express themselves and feel proud to contribute to something that represents our whole organisation.
One of our young artists shared how much the experience meant to them:
“I really liked getting to make my own Christmas card. It made me feel happy knowing everyone would see it.”
Another child spoke about the excitement of seeing their design shared online:
“It was really good seeing my picture on Facebook. I showed it to everyone and couldn’t believe people were liking it.”
After children submitted all the entries, we shared the designs on our Prosperity Children’s Services Facebook page and invited our wider community, colleagues and stakeholders to take part by voting for their favourite designs. Voting was simple — a ‘like’ on the artwork counted as a vote — and the response was incredible. It was heart-warming to see so much encouragement and positivity shown to the children who took part.
“Seeing people vote for our cards made me feel proud. Even just taking part was really fun,” said another child.
How the competition worked:
-
Children across all our homes submitted a Christmas card design
-
We shared entries on our Facebook page in Part 1 and Part 2 of the competition
-
Facebook likes counted as votes
-
Voting closed on Friday 21st November
-
The designs with the most likes were selected as the winners
The winning designs became our official Prosperity Children’s Services Christmas card for 2025 and will be shared with all staff and stakeholders — creating a truly meaningful achievement for the children involved.
A member of staff reflected on the wider impact of the competition:
“This competition brought everyone together at a time of year that can be difficult and challenging for many. It created positivity, excitement and something for the children and staff to look forward to, which was lovely to see.”
We would like to say a huge thank you to every child who took part, the staff who supported and encouraged them, and everyone who voted. Initiatives like this highlight the creativity, confidence and talent of our children — and remind us what the festive season is really about: connection, celebration and joy.
The winning designs are pictured below, and we are proud to celebrate our talented young artists. 🎅✨
